SAFEJAWZ Mouth Guard, Dual Layer Gum Shield for sits in our martial arts listings, where we rank by how buyers actually rate a product rather than by brand. The manufacturer says: Our Extro Series mouth guards are double layered to provide hi-impact protection, absorbing any shock waves from impact, reducing the chances of an injury. Our mouthguard surpassed industry compliance standards by a margin of over 3X in impact absorption tests. Those are the seller's own claims rather than our testing, so treat them as a starting point. How it compares in Martial Arts
Across the 37 rated martial arts products we track, the typical score is 4.4 out of 5. This one sits at 4.4, which is around the middle of the category. Ratings alone will not separate it from its rivals here, so price and the specifics below matter more than the star count.
It carries 16,498 ratings against a category median of 1,383. A rating from a large base is harder to distort and tends to hold up over time, so a high score here means more than the same score on a new listing.
On price it sits in the lower third of a category running from £7.99 to £59.99, where the midpoint is about £19.99. Cheaper than most while rating at or above the category norm is the combination worth looking for, and it is the main argument for this one.

Key features, as the manufacturer lists them
Taken from the product listing via Amazon's product API. These are the seller's claims, not our test results.
- DUAL LAYER – Our Extro Series mouth guards are double layered to provide hi-impact protection, absorbing any shock waves from impact, reducing the chances of an injury. Providing the same level of protection as worn by professional athletes. Suitable for all contact sports
- 3X STRONGER – Our mouthguard surpassed industry compliance standards by a margin of over 3X in impact absorption tests.
- JAW PROTECTION – We have a unique pre-formed base to our mouthguards that we like to call JawSecure. This helps protect your jaw from injury, cushioning the teeth from any impact taken whilst biting down on the guard.
- PERFECT FIT PROMISE – No athlete should suffer from an ill-fitting mouthguard. We back ourselves and believe in making comfortable durable products. We will help you get the perfect fit! Our Extro Series is not suitable to be worn with braces. For Brace wearers, we have a specialised ‘Ortho’ range.
- ANTI GAG! – Do mouth pieces sometimes make you gag? We’ve ensured that our gum shields have an ultra-slim profile on the inside of the mouth ensuring minimum interference whilst playing sport, whether it's football, rugby, boxing or hockey. Of course, all our products come with a case and we have two sizes for both adults and juniors.
