Overview

Play-Doh 36-Pack Mega Fun Set for Toddlers, Non-Toxic sits in our arts & crafts listings, where we rank by how buyers actually rate a product rather than by brand. The manufacturer says: DOH FUN: Shape, squish, mix, and make it all! Great for lots of uses as arts and crafts toys in school classrooms, on playdates with friends, as party favours for kids, or a Play-Doh refill. Squishy, bright, non-toxic Play-Doh modelling clay sparks imagination in 2+ year old kids who love arts and crafts and educational toys. Those are the seller's own claims rather than our testing, so treat them as a starting point. On Amazon it holds 4.8 out of 5 from 14,354 ratings. What that score is worth next to its rivals is set out below.

How it compares in Arts & Crafts

Across the 49 rated arts & crafts products we track, the typical score is 4.6 out of 5. This one sits at 4.8, which puts it in the upper quarter of the category rather than level with it. Where almost everything is rated well, the gap at the top is small in points and large in practice. That places it second of the 49 we rank here.

It carries 14,354 ratings against a category median of 5,927. That is enough of a base to take the score seriously without treating it as settled.

On price it sits in the upper third of a category running from £1.50 to £28.55, where the midpoint is about £6.99. It is priced above the field and rated above it too, so the premium is at least matched by how buyers rate it.
